 MABA Membership Registration

MABA has four classes of membership.  These are Public Facility, Business, Alliance and Associate. Public Facilities are municipal agencies or authorities responsible for the production and/or application of biosolids.  Business members are consulting engineers, private facility operators, and biosolids application service firms. Alliance members are non-governmental organizations with allied interests, notably agriculture and recycling.  These three are dues paying and voting members. Associate memberships are governmental and university members for whom a voting membership and dues payments are inappropriate.  Membership Rates and Dues Schedule and Registration Form

The Benefits of Membership in the MABA

MABA has big plans for services for its members.  MABA will be just as strong and as active as its membership wants it to be.  Here are some of activities we have planned for you!  Remember, when you join now, you have the opportunity to tell us what you need most!

MABA Offers Professional Development and Networking

MABA is an organization designed for convenient and timely transfer of information you need for an effective biosolids recycling program.  Central to this objective is getting to you the latest information on good biosolids practices and the relevant developments in other areas of the country.

MABA Can Provide You Technical Information

MABA provides you access to a full range of technical information -- good practice manuals, EPA publications, and regulations.  Many of these are downloadable from the web site.

MABA Will Help You Keep Up on Current Events

MABA provide regular email and fax news items on the goings-on in the six state region: new utilization programs, conference and training opportunities, field demonstrations, new technologies, research findings.

MABA Will Assist You with Public Outreach

MABA is creating usable fact sheets and brochures for use in your program, and will provide opportunities in media training.  MABA will provide a central strategy for delivering technical information to "gatekeepers," the allied professions to whom the public turns for independent information on biosolids.

With your help and support, we will move on these as well.

MABA Will Support Relevant University Research

MABA can be your means of contributing to collaborative, focused and relevant research agenda for advancing the science of biosolids recycling.  It will provide you direct links to the biosolids researchers throughout the MABA region.

MABA Will Give You Regulatory Updates

For each state, MABA will track legislative initiatives, regulatory proposals, guidance documents.  Activities in the manure management and plant food control arenas will also be watched and reported.

MABA Will Serve as Your Hotline for Problems

MABA will be the place you turn to when projects go sour due to community opposition, pressure from local officials, or media involvement.  MABA will provide information you can use, but, more importantly, experienced and savvy individuals to help you work through the challenges you face.
