NEW ITEMS IN THE NBMA RESOURCE LIBRARY -- November 2008
This month the library diverges from the Associated Press by presenting science and not some combination of science and fiction. Recent articles in the AP have called the safety of biosolids into question both in a traditional agricultural setting and in an inner city project to reduce the hazards associated with elevated soil lead. Science is not the only thing we need to gain public acceptance and make good public policy but it should be a solid basis for both of those things. Here are the scientific papers that help to make clear the fictional portion of both AP stories
