Bio-Energy Project to Save More Than $3M for Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission

Laurel, MD (5/18/18) - Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC) Commissioners approved the first phase of a $250 million project to build and design the Piscataway Bio-Energy Project at the Piscataway Water Resource Recovery Facility. The first phase is to allow WSSC to begin design and early construction of the facility. “The new facility will reduce the amount of biosolids left over from the treatment process and the remaining solids will be a Class A material.
